Silicon Calcium alloy is a compound alloy made up of silicon, calcium, and iron. Itis an ideal compound deoxidizer, desulfurizer. At present, calcium alloy can be used replacing aluminum for final deoxidation.

Silicon calcium alloys are used as deoxidizer and desulfurizer in the manufacturing of high grade steel. Indeed, Calcium and Silicon both have a strong chemical affinity for oxygen. Especially calcium, have a strong chemical affinity not only for oxygen, but also for sulphur and nitrogen. 

Silicon calcium is used to control the shape, size and distribution of oxide and sulfide inclusions improving fluidity, machinability, ductility, and impact properties of the steel product. It is applied to high-quality steel, special steel and special alloys production. Such as rail and low carbon steel, stainless steel, steel and nickel base alloy, titanium alloy and other special alloy.

Silicon calcium alloy is also suitable for converter steel-making workshop as the warming agent, and cast iron's inoculant and additives in the nodular cast iron production.
